Until now, comic books have depended on the human imagination. But it’s different with AI comics.
The best part of AI comics is how easy they are to make. Traditional comic creation takes time and skill. You need to be a talented artist. Plus, a skilled writer. Crafting something truly engaging isn’t easy. But AI removes these barriers. All you need is an idea. Just a spark of creativity. The AI does the rest. It lifts the ➤ Interactive Storytelling process to a whole new level!
You prompt the AI with your story idea. The AI takes over from there. It will put together the entire comic for you. This makes the whole process a lot easier. AI comics are more affordable and accessible to everyone. This can lead to a boom in the comic industry!
But how do you start? A GPT is a good place to begin.
Next up, your prompt. This is what your AI Comic depends on. The prompt is the basis. I’ll give you a prompt for one of my comics. You can copy and edit the prompt as you wish.
I want to create a comic book.These are the rules you must follow:
1. You will be the narrator.
2. Start by introducing the story, the setting and the characters.
3. The story will have 10 panels.
4. Start the image-generation. Each panel is one image.
5. The panels are instructions for image-generation. Do not write them as text, but use them as guides to generate images.
6. Generate the scenes one by one, not at the same time. Description and Dialogue features are there as guides. Do not mention them during the narration.
7. Description is the explanation of the scene. For every panel, take the Description part, place it above a generated image. For example: “Panel 1:
Description: A dark, rainy night in the city. The protagonist, a tall woman in a trench coat, stands under a streetlight. She looks determined, with a scar across her cheek and a cigarette in her mouth.” is to be generated into an image describing the action. Do this for all panels.
8. Dialogue represents either the thoughts of the character or their actual conversations. Take the Dialogue part and place it under a generated image. It should look like the character is speaking those words.
9. Do not label or mention Description and Dialogue.
10. After generating panel 10, ask me to continue generating the comic.
11. When I confirm, continue generating the comic towards Electra defeating the antagonist and finding out who her parents are.
11. You should generate an additional 150 panels.
12. In those 150 panels, introduce a lot of side characters Electra will fight. Her sidekick will help her with his technical know-how.

Genre: Urban Adventure
Main Characters:
Protagonist:Electra Night, a fearless martial artist with a mysterious past, skilled in dual blades, stealth, and firearms.
Sidekick: Dash Vortex a witty and nerdy guy skilled in tech and software.
The antagonist: Poison, Electra’s biological father. A mad scientist - specialist in chemical warfare who wants to destroy New York first, and then the whole planet.
Setting: The city of New York, riddled with crime and hidden dangers.
Plot: Electra Night embarks on a quest to uncover the truth about her origins. She doesn’t know who her parents are. Alongside her loyal sidekick Dash Vortex, she navigates New York, deciphering clues to find the truth. They battle crime, and confront inner demons. They aim to prevent the antagonist from destroying the city and making it look like Electra’s work..
Instructions for the image-generation:
Panel 1:
Description: A dark, rainy night in the city. The protagonist, a tall woman in a trench coat, stands under a streetlight. She looks determined, with a scar across her cheek and a cigarette in her mouth.
Dialogue: "It was a night like any other in the city of shadows..."
Panel 2:
Description: Close-up of the protagonist's face, with rain dripping from her hat. Her eyes are piercing and focused.
Dialogue: "I knew he would be here."
Panel 3:
Description: The protagonist enters a dimly lit bar. The bartender, an old man with a grizzled beard, watches her from behind the counter.

Description: The protagonist takes a seat at the bar, glancing around suspiciously. In the background, a mysterious man in a black suit is partially visible, watching her.
Dialogue: "Information."
Panel 5:
Description: The bartender leans in closer, wiping a glass with a rag. The man in the black suit is now more visible, his eyes fixed on the protagonist.
Dialogue: "Depends on the kind of information you're looking for."
Panel 6:
Description: The protagonist shows a photo of an old man to the bartender. The photo is slightly crumpled and worn.
Dialogue: "Have you seen him?"
Panel 7:
Description: The bartender squints at the photo, then glances nervously towards the man in the black suit.
Dialogue: "Maybe. But he's trouble. You'd best stay away."
Panel 8:

Description: The protagonist stands up, facing the man. Her expression is stern, her eyes never leaving his.
Dialogue: "Depends. Who's asking?"

Description: The man leans in closer, whispering into the protagonist's ear. His expression is serious, his eyes flickering with a hint of danger.
Dialogue: "If you want to find him, you’ll need to trust me."
The key to a great AI comic is your prompt. That’s the fuel for the AI. The more detailed your prompt, the better the results. A good prompt helps the AI understand your vision. Naturally, create your comic as well.
Think about your ➤ characters, the setting, and the ➤ plot. Add any special elements you want to include. The more information you provide, the better. But you can start simply as well. Until you figure out how it works. A simple setting will make a good start. Or just a character. This is where the magic happens. GPT will craft your AI Comic from there. After that, you can just continue.
Sometimes, it doesn’t turn out the way you wanted. But you can always edit the prompt. The AI starts from the beginning. And your AI comic gets a fresh start. Simply combine your ideas with the AI’s capabilities. What you get is a unique and captivating story.
Creating a traditional comic takes time. You must carefully draw every panel. Plus, craft each line of dialogue. This can take weeks or even months. Everything depends on the story. The skill of the creators, too. But AI speeds up this process.
I really love the freedom AI gives. You can create virtually anything. This freedom lets you test your creation, too. Feel free to experiment. Ask questions. I usually do that in the middle of the AI comic.
You can check if the GPT remembers your input well. And it does. It must record your input. After that, you can just tell it to continue. And it seamlessly returns to your comic.
That’s another thing I love about AI Comic crafting. You can always ask for advice.
Let’s say you’re stuck on a plotline. You don’t know how to go on. Just ask the GPT. It will always suggest something. Let’s look at my prompt. I intentionally told it to keep on creating after the 10th panel. I wanted to test its creativity. And it does a great job.
Suppose you don’t want the AI to interfere too much. You have a particular plot in mind, for example. You can do it manually as well. You can build your story on my prompt, too.
The potential of an AI comic is huge. They can change the comic industry completely. New ideas, new stories, and new readers. AI comics can make comics more popular and mainstream.
This can contribute to the growth of the industry. Maybe bring a new golden age of comics as well. This technological innovation offers a lot.
An AI Comic can attract a lot of new fans. Whether as creators or readers.
And the best part of it all? They are endlessly rereadable. Especially if you let the AI choose the storyline. I tried my prompt at least 20 times. The GPT was set to randomize the rest of the story. Of course, the story had a (more or less) predefined ending. And it amazes me that not one of them was identical.
Electra and Dash had a lot of troubles. A lot of good adventures, too. But none of them were the same.
This freedom that an AI Comic offers is something completely new. You can change everything about it! The length, the style, or the events. Even the characters. Whatever you want, just change the prompt.
